The Haus Edit: Coastal Summer 2026

One of my favorite ways to welcome a new season is by curating a mood board for how I want to experience it. Even though I live in Virginia now I’m still a Florida girl at heart, and this summer I want to bring home that coastal feel I grew up with.

While summer arrives with the promise of slower mornings and leisurely afternoons, the reality is that most of our routines stay the same. Escaping mid-week to go to the beach is not realistic for most of us, and if you’re one of the lucky ones, enjoy it! The workdays don’t disappear, and the laundry still needs folding.

What we can change are the small details that make our routine feel more special. I’ve curated a selection of 8 pieces that bring some of that coastal magic home, even if you’re nowhere near the water.

1. Body Care — Osea Undaria Algae Body Oil

Summer and glowing skin go hand in hand. This body oil has become a staple because it gives you that gorgeous just-back-from-vacation sheen without feeling heavy or greasy. The seaweed-infused formula leaves skin incredibly soft and nourished, which is perfection for replenishing dry post-sun skin. Bonus, it smells like juicy citrus with mango.

2. Drink of the Summer – 2025 Walsh Family Wine Bethany Ridge Sauvignon Blanc

There’s something undeniably refreshing about an ice-cold Sauvignon Blanc on a hot summer Sunday. I love that this one is a family-run winery local to Northern Virginia, making it feel like a true regional gem. The wine itself is crisp and bright, exactly what I reach for during the warmer months. It’s the perfect afternoon wine to enjoy poolside, alongside a plate of fresh oysters, or with a light lunch on the patio. Easy to drink, easy to share.

3. Home Art – Nichole Ventures Coastal Collection

For any beach bum away from the beach, this is for you. I fell in love with Nichole’s photography because it captures the beauty of a beach without falling into cliché beach-themed decor. Her images capture the warmth of sunlit sand, rich earthy browns, and the textures of the shoreline in a way that almost feels abstract. Just like the ocean, you can stare at one of her photographs for hours and feel peace.

4. Jewelry – Sweet Harvest Designs, Stretch Pearl Ring

Summer and rings don’t always go together. The warm weather has a tendency to make fingers swell, which can make even your daily rings uncomfortable. That’s why I love this stretch pearl ring; it adjusts with you throughout the day without feeling tight or loose. The real, delicate freshwater pearls and gold accent look beautiful alone or stacked with other rings. I found these rings from a fellow market vendor, and now they’re all I wear these days! Practical and pretty is always a winning combination.

5. Hair Accessory – French Slide-in Hair Claw

Hot, humid days? Hair goes up. That’s a rule. There’s nothing worse than the feeling of hair sticking to the back of the neck on a hot summer day. This French slide-in claw feels like a more polished alternative to the classic claw clip while still being incredibly easy to wear.

I picture it with linen pants, a vintage graphic tee, a basket full of farmers market finds, and absolutely no effort spent styling your hair.

6. At Home – Puebla Porcelain Mugs

I have zero desire of changing my morning coffee ritual. It is always the same latte, but a beautiful mug can make it feel just a little more special. These porcelain mugs with a glazed blue-and-white Mexican motif feel clean but full of personality at the same time (I get Nancy Meyer vibes!). Since buying these, they’ve become some of my favorite mugs. I feel so much more chic drinking from these.

7. The Fragrance of the Summer — Arizona Bloom Eau de Parfum by Flora Street

One of the best ways to carry summer with you is through perfume. Arizona Bloom captures that creamy signature coconut scent, without being overly sweet and heavy. This lightweight fresh fragrance with salted musks, and Madagascar black pepper is refreshing on the hottest days when you don’t want anything too overpowering. People will be doing a double-take to ask what you’re wearing.

8. Home Scent – Swim Team

It wouldn’t be a Haus Edit without a scent for the home. Swim Team is our newest seasonal candle inspired by the nostalgia of childhood summers spent in and near the water. Picture afternoons at the pool, towels drying in the sun, and the sweetness of sharing a twin pop with your sibling before running back outside. This scent brings back that feeling with notes of seaweed, soft must, and pool water. Swim Team makes any room instantly feel like summer.
